Stop paying through the nose for electric pool heaters. The AG Mini draws just 0.59kW of electricity and turns it into 2.9kW of heat — that’s a COP of 5.0, meaning you get roughly five times the heat energy for every unit of electricity you pay for. It’s a proper plug-and-play unit. UK 3-pin plug, 5-metre cable with built-in RCD safety trip, stepped hose tails that fit both 32mm and 38mm pool hoses. Connect it to your existing pump and filter setup, set the temperature on the digital control panel, and leave it to do its thing. No electrician needed. No bypass valve either.

What Makes It Good

Titanium heat exchanger. Handles chlorine, salt and pool chemicals without corroding. This is the same material used in commercial pool heat pumps — it lasts.

R32 eco-friendly refrigerant. Lower global warming potential than older R410A gas. Does the job without doing as much damage.

Dead simple controls. LED digital panel lets you set your desired pool temperature. The unit cycles on and off automatically to maintain it. You can even run it on an external timer if you want it heating overnight.

Compact and light. At just 439mm x 350mm x 390mm and 23kg, you can tuck it next to your filter without it taking over the garden. The powder-coated metal casing stands up to the British weather too.

No bypass needed. Most heat pumps need a bypass valve adding to your pipework. This one doesn’t — it’s designed to work with the flow rates typical of above ground pool pumps (minimum 1.3m³/hr).

🔧 Setup & Installation

Position the heat pump on a flat, stable surface near your pool’s filter system. Connect the hose tails to your pool pipework (after the filter, before the return), attach the hose clips, plug it in, and set your desired temperature. That’s genuinely all there is to it. No plumber, no electrician, no bypass valve.

Just make sure your existing pump/filter delivers at least 1.3m³/hr flow rate, and that the unit has decent airflow around it — don’t box it in.
